Rosemary Becchi, Republican challenger for the NJ CD-11 Congressional seat, met Madison residents and shoppers over coffee in downtown Madison on September 16, 2020.

The Madison Republican Committee is pleased to welcome Rosemary Becchi back to town on Sunday, September 27 for a Meet and Greet event.  Rosemary Becchi is the Republican challenger for the NJ CD-11 Congressional seat.

The event will take place at a private home between 1pm and 3pm on Sunday, September 27.  All are welcome to attend, but pre-registration is required.

Becchi endorsed by NJ PBA

Becchi, a business policy expert, a tax specialist, and an attorney, recently received the endorsement of New Jersey State Policeman’s Benevolent Association (PBA), one of just five congressional candidates to earn this important endorsement.  In the 2018 election, the NJ PBA backed Becchi's opponent, Mikie Sherrill, but this year the NJ PBA's Board of Delegates voted to support Becchi instead.

“Police officers are our neighbors and friends who have dedicated their lives to protecting our communities," remarked Becchi. "I am honored to be endorsed by the NJ State PBA. Their courage and sacrifice is an inspiration to us all.”

Committed to helping people living with disabilities

Additionally, Becchi last week released a policy initiative focused on prioritizing the disabled, the Bill of Rights for All Individuals with Disabilities.  Becchi's initiative strives to raise awareness, fight discrimination, and foster respect for the rights and dignity of those marginalized individuals.

For Mackaella Goodwin, Republican candidate for Borough Council here in Madison, this topic is a very personal one.  "I have a close family member as well as many friends who are living with a disability," remarked Goodwin, who will also be a featured guest at the September 27 event. "Just as Rosemary is committed to advocating for the human rights and fundamental freedoms of children and adults with disabilities at the federal level, I have spent much of my own lifetime working to ensure a full life for people living with disabilities within our own Madison community.  I applaud Rosemary's efforts and am glad that my Madison neighbors will have the opportunity to hear her ideas in person next weekend."

Event pre-registration required

There is no charge to attend the Meet and Greet on September 27.  Attendees are asked to please pre-register by contacting the Madison Republican Committee at madisonnjrepublicans@gmail.com.
