Congressional candidate Rosemary Becchi met with Madison area residents at a Meet and Greet event last Sunday, September 27. The casual gathering, which took place in a Madison backyard, was co-hosted by the Madison Republican Committee and a local family.Rosemary addressed the crowd of 50+ Madison area residents, which was comprised primarily of women voters who were eager to meet Rosemary and express support for her campaign. Rosemary shared her priorities for CD-11 and discussed her commitment to putting people over politics.
"No matter what obstacles get in my way, no matter what challenges are thrown at me, I will always be on your side. It would be an honor to go to Washington to fight for new Jersey families."
Rosemary, a business policy expert, a tax specialist, and an attorney, spoke about her experience working with New Jersey small businesses during the pandemic to help them navigate the loan and aid application processes, and to help them survive during the lockdown. Rosemary also described the work the she has done with Jersey First, a non-profit that she founded to advocate for lower taxes and pro-business policies. She is also proud to have been an author of the College Savings 529 plans that have helped millions of families save for their children's education.
Rosemary is committed to continuing to stand alongside New Jersey families and businesses, and commented, "No matter what obstacles get in my way, no matter what challenges are thrown at me, I will always be on your side. It would be an honor to go to Washington to fight for new Jersey families."
Morris County Freeholder Tayfun Selen, who is running for re-election, also attended the event, as well as Mackaella Goodwin and Michael Dailey, who are hoping to win seats on the Madison Borough Council in this year's election. All four candidates took the opportunity to address the audience and answer voters' questions. Rosemary, who has been endorsed by the New Jersey State Policemen's Benevolent Association, emphasized the respect that she has for law enforcement personnel and the importance of upholding law and order. Similar sentiments were also expressed by the other Republican candidates in attendance, Freeholder Selen and Borough Council candidates Goodwin and Dailey.
Voters who attended the event asked many questions about the voting process for this year's General Election. The Madison Republican Committee reminded everyone present that the very best way for voters to make sure that their vote will be counted in this year's election is to use the Vote By Mail ballot when it arrives, and to track the ballot to ensure that it has been accepted.
